Then It Fell Apart by Moby is I enjoyed this book so much that I also purchased Porcelain, the other book Moby wrote about his life. His style has refined over the years - Porcelain has too many details, or maybe I got bored by the rave scene of the 2000s, where Moby has transported me with succes in this book. I am not and was not interested in the techno culture, nor am I American, but this book is great. I lived for three days in Moby’s world and, when I left, it felt like I’ve left a friend, which is something all narrative arts struggle to achieve. Moby, if you are reading this in hope of validation:)), good luck and godspeed! I’m really glad that you made it.

Then It Fell Apart by Moby is I've been a huge fan of Moby since the mid-90s, and remember when his fame catapulted in the late 90s with Play. He was one of those artists I sort of lost touch with somewhere in the late 2000s, even though I would occasionally hear his newest album and think "Wow, he is really good." Little did I know what was happening in his life during those moments. "Then It Fell Apart" reveals it all: The drugs, alcohol, believing your own hype, and how chasing fame can create self-destruction. I devoured the book the day it came out, on a long trip back from Paris, and I couldn't put it down on the plane. If I had any criticisms, it would be that the childhood chapters got a little tedious, though he interweaves them well with what was occurring in the 2000s (the aftermath of his fame). Toward the end, I struggled with how badly the debauchery had become. (You'll understand what I mean with his Christmas Day party. I mean... Wow.) I enjoyed some of the celebrity gossip. He name-drops a lot, but to me at least it never felt gratuitous. It was just an extension of how full of himself Moby had become. Overall, highly entertaining whether or not you're a Moby fan. He doesn't moralize in the end, but I'm glad to hear he got sober.

Then It Fell Apart by Moby is Moby was more of a figure from my daughter’s 90’s era but I rolled the dice and loved this book. Such an intelligent man , such a well written book.

Then It Fell Apart by Moby is I devoured this memoir in two days. Moby is a wonderfully astute and penetrating writer, and this book is even better than his first memoir. If you lived in NYC in the Eighties, or was a Bridge and Tunnel club kid then, there is much you will recognize here.
