First 50 Songs You Should Play on Ukulele by Hal Leonard Corp. is This book has a decent selection of songs to get you started on the Ukulele. Unfortunately whoever converted it from print to Kindle format did an absolutely horrible job of it. I'm really regretting purchasing this book in Kindle form. I'm wondering if anybody at Hal Leonard Corp. actually took a look at this butcher job before they released it. If this is all the better they can do transitioning their print products over to Kindle, then I have to recommend staying away from their Kindle products.

The chords are fine (of course!), but the melody notation is for guitar; i.e. the scale is not for a four string ukulele. How are you going to play melody when the notes indicated are lower than the ukulele scale? If you play ukulele, you should at least look for tab notation, unless you are skilled enough to read music. Very disappointed--this book is going back.

First 50 Songs You Should Play on Ukulele by Hal Leonard Corp. is This book is more suited to play on an electronic keyboard, as the pieces do not have ukulele tab notation. This would make it very hard for a beginner to find notes on a four string ukulele. Also, some of the pieces are quite complex, even for someone who has learnt music for a while.With time and practice, one could learn to play these song on a ukulele. But, if you are an absolute beginner, look elsewhere.
