Artists: Their Lives and Works by DK

Artists: Their Lives and Works by DK is Some books to the reader are holy; this one is so to me. As an artist and author (excited to purchase DK's Writers book on 9/11/2018), I find this text to be an illuminating glimpse at the lives of some very influential and interesting artists over time. I highly recommend this book if you are like me, an autodidact that loves learning more about the human condition through those that share what they are, body and soul. Or, as it says on the back of the dust cover, "Every good painter paints what he is." Jackson Pollock

Artists: Their Lives and Works by DK is This book exceeded my expectation with the information it contains. It is an impressive looking book and the content was beautifully presented and written. I had purchased the book as a gift and almost kept it. Again purchasing it as a gift to another friend, and will get one for myself too!

Artists: Their Lives and Works by DK is My copy of this used book arrived in near perfect condition! The only defect was one corner of the cover which was bent just a little at the tip. I am enjoying the information of each artist and pictures of some of their works. I also love that artists are placed in sections in which they lived and worked which makes them easily found and placed in time periods.

Artists: Their Lives and Works by DK is The full-page prints of artworks are stunning. The book does a phenomenal job of presenting a "who's who" of influential artitsts of the Western world and even includes a few Asian artists besides Hokusai. It is a great intro for a casual fan of painters and sculptors.
